tso

TSO (The Stationery Office Ltd) decided to launch its new Have Your Say service, which rounds up the week’s key Parliamentary Papers, describing the background, context and likely impact, using MessageSpace adverts. In a competitive tender MessageSpace won the TSO mandate for their online advertising launch. Advertising on political blogs fitting their needs exactly.

Users of the free service keep up-to-date. Parliamentary publication alerts let you know as soon as a Paper relevant to you is published. Users can get involved – using Have Your Say Now to identify the relevant government body and to find out how to contribute to the legislation process.

Have Your Say is a free service from The Stationery Office (TSO) supported by the Office of Public Sector Information (OPSI).

TSO is Britain’s largest publisher by output, publishing 15,000 printed and electronic products each year, and has clients that include the UK Parliament, Government and Assemblies, the Office of Public Sector Information (formerly HMSO), the Office of Government Commerce, the Driving Standards Agency, the Home Office, Network Rail and the British Retail Consortium.

TSO was formerly part of HMSO and was privatised in 1996.

Our Network Expands to More Blogs
Posted on October 16th, 2006 | Trackback URI | Filed under: Blog

Leading bloggers “Slugger O’Toole“, Stephen Pollard and Tim Worstall have joined the MessageSpace advertising network.

Slugger is the politics blog in Northern Ireland read across the spectrum by the political class and in the Northern Ireland Office. The blog provides comment and opinion respected throughout the six counties.

Stephen Pollard, the heavyweight columnist and controversial biographer of David Blunkett is our first “old-media” journalist-turned-blogger to join the network.

Tim Worstall is a leading blogging economist famed for his polemicism and dogged exposure of economic fallacies.

We welcome them onboard and they now give us ten political websites in the MessageSpace network.

Conference Season Network Sells Out
Posted on October 12th, 2006 | Trackback URI | Filed under: Blog

Over this party conference season we sold out of all our advertising space across the network. In fact we completely sold out all our capacity for the Tory conference three times over. Many thanks to our advertisers who made our first month of operation a success.

We’re Selling Out Faster Than We Expected…

Two weeks after opening for business we have now sold over half of our first month’s capacity and a good chunk of October’s capacity. Think-tanks, well known NGOs and new campaigning pressure groups are using our network to promote their message to our audience. We always knew party conference season would be a busy time for us.

The split between advertisers wanting to target audience segments and those wanting to advertise to the whole audience is, so far, heavily in favour of the broad audience.

MessageSpace versus ePolitix

Share comparison

MessageSpace publishers versus ePolitixUp until now political and public affairs advertisers have really had only one place to go to advertise online, and that was ePolitix.com. Now the monopoly is broken, advertisers can (and should) use MessageSpace to reach the audience ePolitix fails to deliver. Download this briefing to compare the two platforms.

In terms of audience share MessageSpace beats ePolitix comprehensively. If you are unhappy with what ePolitix has delivered for your organisation, talk to us. Call 020 7729 7562 or email sales@MessageSpace.co.uk.

The upcoming party conference season is a great opportunity for those new to online advertising to try out our service. We are offering qualifying non-profits a discounted package to promote their conference fringe events or new publications.

Offer details can be downloaded here.

We have produced a Case Study showing how we helped advertise the launch of this new cross party campaign. The Our Say campaign liked what we did so much they asked us to help publicise their fringe events at all the party conferences.Download our Case Study here.

We’re just about ready to start making sales. Now we have tested our ad delivery engine, we’re upgrading our server and the website will be online by the end of the day. We’re all gagging to get on the phones and start making sales and already we have had two calls from people interested in buying ads.

We may not need to remortgage our homes after all.
